Royal Docks School of Business and Law (RDSBL) has been awarded the prestigious Small Business Charter (SBC) accreditation for five years.
The Small Business Charter recognises business schools who have undergone a rigorous assessment and have demonstrated excellence in supporting small businesses, student enterprise, and the local economy.
This achievement underscores the school's unwavering commitment to supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and fostering student entrepreneurship in Newham and the broader East London area.
The panel of independent assessors highlighted the school's extraordinary and wide-ranging impact, citing initiatives such as the Community Awards and large-scale outreach efforts. The panel was also highly impressed by the strong relationships the school has built and maintained with key economic stakeholders, including the Mayor of London and the Newham Chamber of Commerce, as well as its extensive networks and growth partners.
Professor Fatima Annan-Diab, Executive Dean at RDSBL said: “This award reaffirms our dedication to equipping our students and SMEs with the tools, knowledge, and networks essential for success in an increasingly competitive landscape. I extend my sincere gratitude to all my colleagues at RDSBL, the University of East London, and particularly our Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Amanda Broderick, for her unwavering support for business schools and SMEs in London and the region. Under her drive and vision, we continue to lead in business engagement and support. RDSBL looks forward to continuing to drive sustainable growth and innovation throughout East London and beyond. We also extend our thanks to the SBC team for their continued support and recognition.
Flora Hamilton, Executive Director of the Small Business Charter and CEO of the Chartered Association of Business Schools, said:
