The Help to Grow: Management Course has helped thousands of businesses become more resilient and create an upward trajectory.
This has been the case for Michaela Reysenn, Managing Director of interior design company KAI Interiors. Michaela signed up for the Help to Grow: Management Course at the Guildhall School of Business and Law to help her understand how to build a strong team and to take time to focus on the business’s growth strategy.
Michaela’s work on her business is now paying dividends and she has been awarded silver in the category of ‘Best Business Women in a Creative Business 2023’ at the Best Business Women Awards. The award ceremony is considered one of the UK’s most prestigious for women in business, and rewards diverse talent in a variety of industries.
Speaking about the award and what it means to her, Michaela told Help to Grow: Management: ‘Winning a silver award brings a tremendous feeling of pride, it also brings recognition for all the hard work and time I have invested over the years.
‘Starting a business is one thing, growing it and building a team of super talented interior designers is another. Together we have created some incredible work that I’m so proud of, and seeing us all enjoying the journey is more than I could ever ask for.’
KAI Interiors is a female-led interior design studio based in East London. They are focused on creating and delivering unique hospitality spaces that are immersive, emotionally engaging and inspire human connection. To date, they won a series of restaurant and bar design awards for the interiors that they have designed.
Reflecting on this award for her role as business leader, Michaela said, ‘It is a great honour to be recognised as a finalist from the many amazing businesswomen in the creative sector. Winning silver provides me with a moment of reflection, a rare opportunity to look in the rearview mirror, to see how far I have come, and to take a moment to acknowledge what I have achieved.’
Looking ahead, Michaela said: ‘2024 is shaping up to be an exciting year and I’m looking forward to the next chapter as I still have so much more to do in terms of developing and growing my business. Following on from the support shown by the Help to Grow: Management Course I feel energised, excited, and ready for more.'
