Manchester Metropolitan University Business School has supported industry and commerce in the city since 1889; today we offer a range of professional programmes including short courses, professional development and postgraduate part-time programmes, alongside out undergraduate and research programmes.
Home to around 10,000 students, the Faculty is one of the largest and most popular in the UK. Our core focus is on providing the highest standards of professional education, and our growing reputation for achieving this is recognised both nationally and internationally.
We are a double accredited Faculty, having both AMBA and AACSB accreditation. This places the Business School in the top 5% worldwide at the time of the award in February 2016, by securing accreditation to fifteen standards of excellence in global management education.
Research firmly underpins the curriculum and our strong external focus ensures that the world-leading research we do supports industry and commerce locally, nationally and internationally informing policy and has great impact upon businesses and society. Rated as internationally excellent, our latest research impact scoring is on a par with major Russell Group universities.
The Faculty of Business and Law has worked with over 2,000 small firms, and supported over 1,000 student enterprise and graduate start-ups. We offer three fully-funded growth programmes for businesses in Greater Manchester and the Cheshire and Warrington areas, in addition to leadership programmes, including the well-regarded Managers2Leaders. We also work in partnership with large and small firms and with policy bodies to support the agenda for economic growth and job creation across the region.
