We are also proud to be the world’s first public value business school. Guided by our progressive public value strategy and principles, we are committed to delivering economic and social improvement through interdisciplinary teaching and research that tackles the grand challenges facing the world today.

Research excellence

As a global community of staff and students, representing multiple countries and nationalities, we offer a vibrant and collegiate environment. This enables and supports the delivery of transformative thinking and impactful research.

Currently ranked sixth for research quality, 86% of our output is classed as world-leading, while our research environment came joint first. We are also one of only two business schools in the UK to rank in the top 10 in each government research exercise since 1992.

Teaching and Learning

We offer a broad and diverse range of courses at undergraduate, postgraduate, PhD and executive level. Our academics translate their research and experience to the classroom setting, providing students with current and front-line insight and knowledge.

In addition to academic excellence, we are committed to supporting our graduates’ employability and provide significant opportunities to gain real world practical experience through placements, internships and live business projects.

We are a dynamic and engaged business school, looking to the future, to new innovations, new ideas and new partnerships. These relationships and initiatives are integral in helping us achieve our bold public value mission.
